Gabrielle studied at Central Technical School, George Brown College and the Ontario College of Art. Her studio in Etobicoke, Ontario overlooks a forested ravine on the banks of the Humber River. The natural forms, textures and colours inspire her work. You may recognize influences from Tom Thomson, Klimt, Matisse and William Morris in her designs. Gabrielle draws from her heritage, incorporating the simple beauty and function of historical Dutch pottery. All her work is microwave and dishwasher safe.
Forty percent of Gabrielle’s pottery proceeds are split between Canadian Food for Children, a registered Canadian charity that distributes food, clothing and medicine to the poor in 40 countries, including Canada and Seeds of Hope(www.aidezhousagrandir.org/partenaires).
