Natalie has apprenticed with many different potters in the area but is mostly self-taught. She opened The Barefoot Potter studio in 1998. Her functional pottery is high-fired and this produces the most durable and functional pottery. Natalie’s work has been featured in various publications. In 2012 The American Ceramic Society accepted one of her vessels in the gallery section of “Naked Raku and Related Bare Clay Techniques” book. In 2009 her work was featured in the local Grand Magazine and in Clay Times magazine. One of Natalie’s vessels is in the private collection of Prince Andrew, Duke of York.
