Collection: Margriet Van Erp
Margriet has been a glass and clay artisan for over 40 years. Working on stained glass she uses the surface as a canvas, allowing the designs to have a painterly quality. She opened SeeView Gallery in 2003 where she devotes her time to creating and selling artwork. Margriet Van Erp uses a single piece of textured glass to which she applies an image with overlays of lead and coloured film. The front, which faces into the home, is fully leaded. The back-side is layered with the coloured film and partially leaded. The entire design is viewed equally from both sides. Each piece is framed in zinc and is ready to hang.
