Collection: Jeannie Galt

Jeannie finds creating something beautiful out of something ordinary very satisfying. She worked with many different media before she discovered beads and the joy of making her own with a torch, mandrel and rod of coloured glass. “Dots, stringer control, encasing, planned distortion, and other techniques have been consuming my spare time for the past three years. I have the greatest sense of satisfaction when I watch molten glass turn into a bead decorated in a design that is pleasing to me. I don’t have a general theme and am only trying to convey the message of all the neat things you can do with glass!” She works in her home studio.

“It’s great in the summer, I open up the windows and hear birds sing and feel close to nature.”
