Hilborn Pottery

Nancy is a potter from Cambridge, Ontario. She received her BA from the University of Waterloo and studied Ceramic Design at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto. Nancy opened her studio, Hilborn Pottery, in 1975. Nancy specializes in original wheel-thrown and hand-built clay works of exceptional form and function. She hand-paints her patterned designs using colourful, metallic oxide glazes and her personal style reflects layered and folded slabs, which she sculpts and twists to produce a fluid and vitrified form. Her versatile works are microwave, oven (with preheating) and dishwasher safe. Nancy's works have been recognized nationally through various awards and competitions. Nancy and Rick Hilborn and Hilborn Pottery were inducted into the One of a Kind Hall of Fame in November 2014.
