Amanda first studied and worked in the field of interior design then switched to glass forming in 2007. She graduated from the Craft & Design Program (glass major) at Sheridan College, Oakville, Ontario. Her multidisciplinary artist background includes painting, sculpture and interior design and she is able to draw on her broad range of skills to create compelling works. Amanda is inspired by the natural world and the systems within it. Through the process of kiln casting glass and working with glass in its cold state, Amanda strives to create pieces that will send a message about us as people, the relationships we have with others, the environment around us and her place within it.
