Collection: Monica Adamo

Monica discovered clay during her first year at college in the U.S., enrolling in as many clay classes as possible. Upon her return home to Toronto, she attended classes at Sheridan College and the Ontario College of Art & Design. She travelled to Japan and Peru and sought out and joined local pottery studios where she worked on the potter’s wheel and learned new hand building techniques.

Monica works equally on the wheel and with various hand building techniques. She loves creating functional, beautiful pieces that are to be enjoyed during daily rituals of eating and drinking. She is inspired by texture and pattern, particularly those reflective of nature. Monica lives in Kitchener, Ontario and is a current member of The Waterloo Potters’ Workshop and the Hamilton Potters’ Guild.
