Collection: James Lavoie

James has worked with glass since 1978 – spending many years producing work in “cold glass” (stained glass), experimenting with “hot glass” (blown glass) but finding his passion of expression through the “warm glass” medium of kiln-firing.  His fused work illustrates a methodical composition and attention to detail that result in pieces both sophisticated and elegant in their simplicity – enhancing the inherent qualities of the material.  His studio is located in Edmonton, Alberta.
