Our week-long summer camps are back!  Sign up for one or more.

Campers will create artworks inspired by exhibitions using a wide variety of art materials and techniques, including: drawing, painting, collage, and clay! At the end of each week, campers will set up a pop-up exhibition to share their work with friends and family. Clay artwork will be fired in a kiln after Art Camp.

  • Week 1: July 4-8 / Nature (ages 7-11)
    Discover local wildlife and create art inspired by nature! Sketch outdoors and make art using natural materials. Clay projects this week: a clay planter, a clay pinch pot animal, and 1 freestyle activity.

  • Week 2*: July 11-15 / Functional Pottery & Design (ages 11–14)
    Design your own collection of dishware and make 3 clay pieces to take home! Get inspired by imaginative functional pottery pieces in the collection. Clay projects include: a sgraffito bowl, a mug, and 1 freestyle activity. 

  • Week 3: July 18 – 22 / Nature (ages 7-11)
    Discover local wildlife and create art inspired by nature! Sketch outdoors and make art using natural materials. Clay projects this week: a clay planter, a clay pinch pot animal, and 1 freestyle activity.

  • Week 4: July 25 – 29 / Fairies and Dragons (ages 7-11)
    Dive into a fairy tale world of storytelling! Create mini books and fill them with short stories, bring stories to life with stop motion, and make dragon wings to wear! Clay projects this week: a fairytale plate, a character from your short story, and 1 freestyle activity.

  • Week 5*: August 2-5 (4 days**) / Architecture (ages 11–14)
    Explore structures and design! Create paper cityscapes that reflect your vision for the future of Waterloo. Clay projects this week: a house-shaped tealight holder, a plate inspired by architecture, and 1 freestyle activity.

  • Week 6: August 8 – 12 / Space (ages 7-11)
    Create art that is out of this world! Make a mobile solar system and sketch imaginary planets beyond this galaxy. Clay projects this week: a constellation tealight holder, a plate painted like your favourite planet, and 1 freestyle activity. 

  • Week 7: August 15 – 19 / Fairies and Dragons (ages 7-11)
    Dive into a fairy tale world of storytelling! Create mini books and fill them with short stories, bring stories to life with stop motion, and make dragon wings to wear! Clay projects this week: a fairytale plate, a character from your short story, and 1 freestyle activity.

  • Week 8: August 22 – 26 / Space (ages 7-11)

  • Week 9: August 29 – Architecture (ages 7 - 11)

*When making a booking, please double check you are booking for the correct the age group. Week 2 & 5 are for ages 11 – 14 and all other weeks are for ages 7-11.

**Weeks 5 is four days due to stat holiday. This difference is reflected in the price. 

Additional information:

  • For all camps: drop off is 9:00am, pick up is 4:00pm.
  • Before art camp, you will be sent an online registration form requesting allergy and emergency contact information.
  • On Friday each week, family and friends are welcome to come at 3:30 for the pop-up art show.

    Shipping is available for an additional fee. A Shop Assistant will contact you following purchase with a shipping quote which will be invoiced separately once determined. Taxes calculated at checkout.

    We are happy to offer credit or exchange on non-sale items within 30 days of purchase with presentation of a sales receipt or gift receipt. Please note that the Gallery Shop does not offer refunds.
